Tamilnadu Test House plays a vital role in analysis of Allergen testing which is a crucial part of the safety assessment of cosmetic products. Allergen test helps the manufacturers to identify the potential allergens in the product formulation to minimize the adverse effect.

Our experts’ team has the capacity to test the allergens as per EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and IFRA standards.

Our scientists have developed a GCMS-MS method to identify and quantify 57 volatile compounds which are suspected to be allergens in fragrances and raw materials used in cosmetic products.

Also we do the allergen testing as per Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) guidelines under IS 4011:2018 (Method of Test for Safety Evaluation of Cosmetics). This standard outlines procedures for testing cosmetics for potential skin irritation, sensitization, and allergic reactions.
